[okfn-discuss] OKFN FAQ

Hooray! Great work Lucy. :-)

Immediate comments:

  * More pictures
  * More links (e.g. "Open Data Commons")
  * Site pages should be lower case, e.g. "our projects page" rather
than "the Projects page"
  * Table of contents
  * Small "Back to the top" or "^" links underneath each question for
navigational ease.
  * Capitalisation of the Questions Should Be consistent. ;-) I'd vote
all lower case.
  * More bolding! E.g. *tools* and *communities*
  * The phrase 'flagship projects' is probably not so appropriate in
this context. I think we could say "CKAN and Open Spending are two of
the OKF's flagship projects", but "the OKF runs flagship projects such
as CKAN" while perhaps correct, has a bit of an odd ring to it for me.
  * Suggest we don't break the "Where can I get an overview of ..."
questions into parts - so we can put them into the table of contents.
I think a bit of repetition in FAQs is acceptable.
  * Re: activity - we should also link to blog.okfn.org, @okfn on
Twitter, and - in addition to the planet thing - we should maintain a
source list of OKF RSS feeds somewhere.
  * I'd cut the sentence on Rufus sitting on UK gov transparency board
- or broaden to include details of other areas, as otherwise this is a
bit weird by itself.
  * "What Community Building Do You Do?" is a bit of a weird question.
Perhaps something like: "What is the open knowledge / open content /
open data community?" - where we could gesture to broader communities
and then mention what the OKF does to strengthen, support and connect
these together?
  * I would get rid of "Process" sub-heading
  * Re: project adoption - rather than saying to contact info@
address, I would suggest popping a note to relevant mailing list
  * "Enthusiasm is vastly more ..." -> "Enthusiasm is much more ..."
  * "Companies who allow ..." --> "Organisations who allow ..."
(mainly public sector employees so far, I believe!)

Do I get one of these as a prize for my thoroughness? ;-)
