Hi Tobias,

There is a Plugin for tinyMCE. It is listed as the Rich Text Plugin on the
plugin page:
http://annotatorjs.org/plugins/

And the git repo is:
https://github.com/danielcebrian/richText-annotator

We have implemented it on the edX platform.
