[annotator-dev] UX/UI improvements

Hi guys,

we are currently using Annotator for one of our features at Radialpoint. We
are currently using code in the master branch (I know I know we are
crazy...) and we are currently on a UI/UX polishing blitz and obviously,
AnnotatorJS is in the scope of that blitz.

We observed some quirks in the way the lib is displaying the bubbles. For
instance, when I try to create a new annotation and I hover an existing
one, if it is close enough they will both overlap. Also, displaying the
bubble when the cursor ends up make the experience "jumpy" and
non-consistent. We have also noted the fact that the selection disappears
when you enter edit mode (which I understand since it is a native browser
selection) and we have feedback from our users that it is kind of annoying.

What I'd like to know is if you guys have anything on your roadmap to
tackle these things, like some sort of display manager to ensure that
bubbles are not overlapping and maybe some sort of temporary highlight to
keep selection during creation. If it is not on your roadmap, we'll
probably take action immediately and implement the fix ourselves.

Thanks and keep up the good work!
