[annotator-dev] What is uniquely Annotator?

The core for me is in the events and UI. Having an API that can
programmatically invoke a user interface and produce observable events is
the key.

Implementation ramblings:

I would love to separate the two, though, and that's what domannotations is
one half of.

The other half would fit neatly into the HTML Editing APIs to me.

Or maybe these are all one and the domannotations API could be harmonized,
but one would have to polyfill execCommand.
