Vorschlag für Neelie Kroes:

"More and more EU public authorities are opening up their data for use 
by everybody. At the recent EU Open Data Challenge, we could see
how many applications were developed by individuals or companies, making 
good use of this data, to the benefit of European citizens in many 
member states. These Apps competitions demonstrate the usefullness of 
open data and thus, will lead to more data being opened up which than, 
has a positive impact on innovation and development of the EU as a 
competitive region for the future. I am glad that Germany joins the 
movement towards a more open government!"
