Hi,

I'm not going to be around much tomorrow as I seem to have been coding all
day today

could people look at these pull requests for 1.8

This fixes the deprecate_context_item maintenance function I've had to
cherry-pick into the demo theme as the search facets were missing

We call show_user twice in user/read tiny fix again cherry-picked into demo
as it's a reported bug

I'm also keen to get this change to the activity streams accepted as it
helps with the speed of the user/read page which have been noticeably
slow.  But I've not merged it into the demo stuff until it's accepted
