Sean, isn't there a guideline document?
It's just because, it feels that this question and similar ones could  
emerge frequently but are unanswered by now.

Something like a 'Good practices for CKAN' or 'How to efficiently use  
CKAN?' could be very helpful from the end users' perspective.
