Perhaps you could make the download a little easier?

1. go to google, type in CKAN
2. get ckan.org
3. scan page for ages to find download link
4. try pricing ???
5. aha, download link!
6. click download link, get a documentation link
7. click 'administration ...'
8. click 'package installation'
9. scroll past pages of stuff on EC2/virtualbox
10. find apt server
11. no direct link to deb, so have to manually go through repository
12. eventually find deb

I would think it is not unusual to have a download link prominent on
the homepage, which gives you a deb or a tgz.
