Hey, I got Nils to set `always_notify_owner` to true in trac.ini, and
after a brief test it looks like you should now get email notifications
when someone assigns a ticket to you (or when someone comments on a
ticket that is assigned to you, etc.) Let me know if it's not working
for you.

I could also install this plugin:

to stop trac from emailing you about changes that you yourself have
made. Would people like that?

Alternatively you can setup a gmail filter for notifications of your own
changes, it's on this page:
