OK. So the code is included but actually disabled.
To enable it requires installing & configuring nginx & Elastic Search. correct?
Is the Datastorer (ckanext-datastorer) also included? What about celeryd? Is
it installed to be automatically started at system boot time?
If not, is there a shell-script provided wrapping the celeryd paster command?

No, but the documentation should indicate that the module is present but disabled.
