Hi Ryan,
I would let others explain their experiences with it, but at least
version-wise, I would recommend this:
* CKAN: 1.8
* ckanext-harvest: master
* ckanext-spatial: harvest-generic-iso

Note that there is likely to be some development around the harvesters
on ckanext-spatial, so keep an eye for some possible changes.
