[ckan-dev] publicdata.eu staging site

Hey, there's now a staging site for the (in-development) new version of
publicdata.eu up at:

    http://pdeu.staging.ckanhosted.com

So people can look at it and give some QA. Feel free to respond in this
email thread or make an issue on github:

Some of the new features to look at (most of this work was done by John
Marting and Sven Kunze):

- It's running CKAN 2.0 with a custom theme

- The map feature at the top of the front page has been ported to CKAN
  2.0

- The Featured Applications and Featured Ideas have been ported to
  CKAN's new Related Items feature

- The submit your email address form on the front page has been ported
  (this will 500 if you actually try to submit an email address because
  it's not yet configured on the staging site)

- New nicer looking activity streams on user profile pages, e.g.

      http://pdeu.ckanstaging.com/user/activity/seanh

  If you hover the cursor over a user or dataset in an activity stream
  you get a popup about them (and if you're logged in the popup even
  contains follow/unfollow buttons)

- CKAN 1.8's follow/unfollow buttons on user and dataset pages have been
  reimplemented in CKAN 2.0. Also followers tabs on user and dataset
  pages.

- CKAN 1.8's user dashboard has been reimplemented in CKAN 2.0, when
  register an account and login you'll get a dashboard with a news feed
  from all the users, datasets and groups that you're following

- New gravatar in the top-right of the site when you log in, with a menu
  for navigating to your dashboard or profile

We also upgraded ckanext-googleanalytcis to work with CKAN 2.0 but
there's nothing to see if just reports stats to google.

More new features to come, we'll update the staging site as we have
stuff.
