validation. ianward’s use case is to override schemas based on dataset
type. kindly has suggested validation functions similar to having
separate auth/logic functions. (left as wip for now)

  ○ #1402 (Remove ‘maintainers’ field) duplicate? dread votes for
removal, kindly/amercader keep (for backwards compatibility), but
happy to hide the field but must keep in database. Generally keep
columns in the database as failed   upgrades can leave the database
unusable.
  ○ #1401 (delete ckan_deb dir) agreed deletion is ok. seanh suggests
that all scripts should be in python, general consensus is that bash
scripts are fine.
  ○ #1399(IGroupForm breaks Organization Tab Navigation(wardi)
  ○ #1398(Overflowing email address in userpage) (johnmartin)
  ○ #1396(Update the HTML coding standards)(johnmartin)
  ○ #1395(Confg option for naming Groups and Orgs) should be implemented in
    extensions. IGroupForm needs to be brought up to date similar to
IDatasetForm,
    extension adds config option
  ○ #1388(problems with ‘dv’ and ‘cmn’ locales) problem with babel not
having locales,   not  an issue for now, but we will have to bear it
in mind for the future
  ○ #1387 (old tempaltes) We want to remove old templates are still needed
  otherwise the tests break. Genshi support will remain.
