Greetings,
So the logout problem is due to having two instances of CKAN that I am connecting to with the same browser (chrome). If I logout of one instance, I am able to view the 2nd instance. I am getting an internal server error on the 2nd instance and I can't access the site on port 80.
I get this error on the chrome console when just connecting to the site:
event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

Hi Michael,
I just tested the package on a clean VM and it works fine for me. Now I'm more curious about your errors. Can you follow instructions exactly as mentioned in the docs<http://docs.ckan.org/en/latest/install-from-package.html> on a clean VM and check if it works for you?

I have recently tried to re-install with a fresh VM due to some issues I was having. I am installing via the packaged method. I have created a puppet configuration<http://code.scenzgrid.org/index.php/p/puppet-vms/> for the full details.
After the installation process has finished, I try to launch ckan and the port 80 site fails completely. The port 8080 redirects to the /user/logout url (shown below).
http://test.ckan.zen.landcareresearch.co.nz:8080/user/logout
There are no errors in the /var/log/apache2/ckan_default.error.log
The only message that is repeated in /var/log/apache2/ckan_default.custom.log is
72.20.8.17 - - [02/Dec/2013:16:00:43 +1300] "GET /user/logged_out?came_from=/ HTTP/1.1" 302 523 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/31.0.1650.57 Safari/537.36"
There is no output on google chrome console.
Any ideas what might be the problem?
