This solution will work. I had some typo's.

This secures all of the solr pages.

Thanks for the feedback on the previous post.

Subject: Securing the :8983/solr/admin page

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has implemented password protection on the CKAN /solr/admin page in Ubuntu with Jetty?

The solr documentation is not very clear on how to do this at http://wiki.apache.org/solr/SolrSecurity.

The best example I have found so far is here, but I haven't been able to get it to work either:

If you have solved this, please share!

I am thinking most are running with the :8983/solr/admin wide open.

Regards,

Fred Sasse
