[ckan-dev] Best way to store uploads in another machine

Hi all,

I'm setting up a site with 3 machines: one for the app, one for the db, and
one for storage. I'm wondering if there's a better way to link the app and
storage machines, other than NFS/sshfs.

Using NFS seems wasteful as that, unlike S3 or Google Storage, not only the
uploads will go through the app server, but every data download as well. It
would be much better if the storage machine itself had a web server and
were able to serve the uploaded files.

Has someone ever done something like this? Or NFS is good enough (given
both machines are on the same network)?

Cheers,
