[ckan-dev] What is the DocumentRoot for ckan?

You shouldn't be doing paster serve and apache at the same time. If you
want to serve CKAN on a non-root URL, it should only be through apache.

Your virtualhost is configured for port 5000, but is apache listening on
port 5000? Normally, you need to modify /etc/apache2/ports.conf (if this is
Ubuntu), and add a line "Listen 5000".

I'm fairly sure your apache isn't listening on port 5000, because if it
were, you wouldn't be able to run paster serve anyway.
