[ckan-dev] wild card search works not as expected

Hi,
the field search in the CKAN2.2 GUI works not as expected in our portal 
b2find.eudat.eu :

title:europe returns 116 datasets,
but
title:europ? finds only 116 records,
e.g. NOT the datasets 'europe' and 'europe central' ...

Could somebody explain this behaviour ?

By the way : is there a 'official' 'search help' for the CKAN GUI rsp. API ?
Should be the same as for SOLR search, or ?
