[ckan-dev] Visualizations in CKAN (Resource Views)

Hello

>From version 2.3 onwards a new interface named "Resource Views" will be the
default way of creating visualizations within CKAN.  The aim of this
interface is to make it as easy as possible for anyone to create an
extension that allows you to view data stored or linked to by CKAN.

We would like to encourage everyone who is interested in creating or
integrating visualizations in CKAN to develop against this new interface
from now on.

The code currently can be found in the  1251-resource-view branch in the
main CKAN repository. https://github.com/ckan/ckan/tree/1251-resource-view.
This has been worked on for many months and has a very stable with the
interface very unlikely to change. It is stable to work against.

All you need to know about this new feature is documented on this wiki

Any feedback, comments or remarks about anything unclear in the wiki would
be greatly received.

I very much hope people can use this new feature to give CKAN users plenty
of options as to how they want to visualize their data.
