[ckan-dev] Tag autocomplete

Hi, I'm pretty sure that in the past when I have added a dataset that when I start typing tags I got autocomplete suggestions showing that I could click to add/complete a particular tag.

We've been in testing mode and lately I haven't been adding tags to the datasets I uploaded, but I've started adding some real data to our production site and have noticed that tag autocompletion does not occur anymore.

I then went to the http://demo.ckan.org/ site and adding this on there also does not have tag autocomplete.

Am I dreaming that this was ever the case, or has this been disabled?  Can we re-enable it?

We are on CKAN 2.2.

I tried to upload the same pdf file to demo.ckan.org and it works there. I also downloaded a pdf file (2 page) from demo ckan site and uploaded it to my instance and it did not work.

Pabitra, you are right resource_proxy it's not needed for previewing local file.
Have you tried different pdf files? Have you tried to upload the file on demo.ckan.org to see if it works?
Are you sure you don't get any error in the log files?

Local resource I mean the pdf file is on the local disk of the ckan web server. Yes I have used the ckan.plugins in the ini file to enabled the pdf_preview. I have 2 instances of CKAN one running on 2.1 and the other one on 2.2. In both cases the pdf preview is not working for me.

What do you mean my local resources here? If you're on 2.2 and above, the name of the extension you should enter for ckan.plugins line is pdf_preview.

It sounds strange to me, on my experience it should work. Also, I don't get why you don't have any error messages. Sometimes I get the dark grey view but it is because the resource is too big for the proxy and I get a message that tells me that or other kind of errors.

Hello,

We've just upgrade from 2.0 to 2.2 and we seeing strange behavior with the dropdown controls as depicted in the screen snippet (defaulting to an "open" state with an "x" to clear a selected value).

Does anyone know how to change this to the behavior as it is on the demo.ckan.org site (I assume this is version 2.2 as well). I've been trying to retool the select2 css and js without much luck.
