Hi Nina,

The invite feature is working as expected. One caveat though, when logging in as the new user I got a permission error when changing the username. The name was changed though.

If you make an organization and click the manage button there should be a members tab.

From that tab you should be able to invite people by using their email.

I am unsure if disabling ckan.auth.create_user_via_web will also disable the email invite feature.

It should be in the .ini file.
You need to set this line to false: ckan.auth.create_user_via_web
