[ckan-dev] How to add a menu item which redirect to a website?

Hi,
I achieved to add a menu item with an extension by using this code: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17777191/how-to-add-a-menu-item-to-ckans-naivigation-menu
My problem is that I am trying to redirect it to a site but the "ckan.plugins.toolkit.render" function doesn't work for it...
For know I can display a HTML page but php does not work.
Is there a function to do it or an other way?
