[ckan-dev] sharing sessions between ckan installations and django projects

Hello,

We are working on developing a django project alongside our ckan
installation (www.ctdata.org). Given that we have active registered users,
we are interested in configuring django user and sessions middleware to use
the existing ckan setup.

>From some initial research, it looks like an approach which use beaker /
memcached to handle sessions might be viable. However, I'm not sure if it
is possible to share the user tables...

Is this something that anyone has done already and if so, would you be
willing to share the approach? Is an SSO approach more viable? The
stormpath service looks fairly straight forward, if a bit pricey. Other
options?

Thanks in advance for any help.
