Hi Denis,

I just wanted to give you some positive feedback. I'm abusing your extension to give me a dashboard of 4 views on a package page and I'm very happy with the result.

Best,

Matt

Dan et al.

This is useable now: https://github.com/deniszgonjanin/ckanext-featuredviews

You can see a demo here: http://featuredviews.datacats.io/

The extension gives you two toggle buttons on every resource page with views. The buttons let you toggle whether the particular resource view will be shown as the canonical view for the dataset on the dataset page (eg. http://featuredviews.datacats.io/dataset/wards), as well as whether the resource view should be shown on the homepage.

It should be not-too-difficult to extend it to also aggregate featured views for a particular organization instead of the homepage.

Its not exactly what you're looking for but you may want to look into https://github.com/ckan/ckanext-dashboard.
Bear in mind that the "widgets" for a dashboard are limited to resources in the same package.

Hope this helps,
Joel

Hello,
I played a bit with 2.3 demo CKAN and it looks very interesting. The most important feature is, from what I see, the way of creating views for a resource and that there is a different approach between "preview" and "views".
I would like to add several views of different resources on an organization page. What is the best approach I should have?
Also, in case I want to create "a page" which should contain 4 "views", how should it be built?

Thanks,
