[ckan-dev] CKAN Puppet Module 2.1.2 released

Greetings,
  We have released version 2.1.2 of the ckan puppet module on the puppet forge (as well as our bitbucket repository).

Version 2.1.2 now supports both CKAN 2.3 and 2.4.

This module doesn't currently handle upgrading between versions automatically.  Its recommended to provision a new VM for a fresh install and just import your old database and copy over the datastore.

Version 2.x of this puppet module no longer supports CKAN 2.1 or 2.2.

This module also uses the new puppet solr module which supports solr version 5.x+

Development Related Information
We still haven't had time to integrate the changes for redhat based systems.  The fundamental problem is this module's reliance on the ckan debian package.  Its also why we are unable to upgrade to Ubuntu 14.04.  I think in the future, we should use the puppetlabs/apache and puppetlabs/nginx puppet modules for managing the site (we really don't need the ckan package for this and configuring the vhosts is easy with those puppet modules).

I think the main blocking point for me is learning what is required for setting up the web site code.  IE, node.js, python, etc.
