Hi Thomas,

I ended up writing a custom extension for Lancaster university (UK). We use
Cosign for auth, so I just wanted something simple that picked up
REMOTE_USER and then populated the user from our LDAP. I also had problems
using ckanext_ldap but I put that down to my inexperience with CKAN
generally and moved on.
