[ckan-dev] Data in real time

To be clear, are we talking here about updating new values (like rainfall per day) in an existing dataset or keeping datasets in sync (i.e. someone adds a rainfall data set and you want it to also appear in CKAN)?

Do you have any way to add a hook to eCidade so that updates to it could make a CKAN API call and update CKAN? That would be the only true realtime solution I think.

It looks like ckanext-realtime is providing something in the other direction - notifications when data in a CKAN resource data table changes.

Other than that what you probably want is harvesting, but it may not be fast enough. Harvesting checks every X minutes for new datasets from an external platform and adds them to CKAN.

It looks like the software is open source? (https://softwarepublico.gov.br/gitlab/e-cidade/e-cidade/) - maybe your chances for extending it to provide data pushing to CKAN are not so bad.

Next I have a platform called eCidade and its data should be transferred to my CKAN platform, these data should be in real time, in other words, the ckan user should insert  eCidade data and these data must be available in my CKAN platform too . I installed  the extension that Steven said, however, it does not work. Could you help me ?

Maybe https://github.com/alexandrainst/ckanext-realtime is what you're after? I have no idea which versions of CKAN it works with though.
