[ckan-dev] ckanext schemming additional fields added but searchable

Well I understand that the system is thought to cover other general purposes but for our organization would be useful to take in consideration having private datasets which state is no productive. If these private datasets could  be searchable, then could be more easilly identified for dataset managers. That’s also the reason why we added some custom fields.

Why would you want this? It is better just to make the dataset public.

Don’t change the functionality of a system if you can use a function in that system to give you what you want. That is my opinion anyway.

Thank you for you quick answer! You were right, I realised about what my problem was: datasets were declared private and for that reason I didn’t find anything.

Is there any way of making searchable datasets included if they are private?

If the fields are showing, then they are being indexed and are searchable.
