[ckan-dev] CKAN Versioning?

A few yeasr ago when we first began using CKAN, I am pretty sure versioning of datasets was occurring (ie. you could go in and look up changes to a dataset and go to an older version). However shortly after in an update I think that versioning was removed?

However the ckan website (https://ckan.org/features/ ) still advises that versioning is occurring :

Publish & find datasets

Publish<https://ckan.org/features/#publish> datasets via import or through a web interface. Search<https://ckan.org/features/#search> by keyword or filter by tags. See dataset information<https://ckan.org/features/#search> at a glance. Full change history<https://ckan.org/features/#history> lets you easily undo changes or view old versions.

History

CKAN uses the Open Knowledge Foundation's Versioned Domain Model<https://github.com/okfn/vdm> (VDM) to keep a complete history of all edits and versions of dataset metadata.
Using this feature you can look at a complete history of changes to a dataset, and compare different revisions.

Is versioning still present in the latest version of CKAN? And/or could individuals choose to add versioning back in (if indeed it has gone) e.g. using https://github.com/okfn/vdm?

Thanks

Aaron
