Hi,

in my installation (from source) i fixed this problem with the command
'chown www-data', where www-data is the user running the wsgi-server (in
my case apache + mod-wsgi). No need for more permissions etc.

I wouldn’t use 777 though. 555 would be better if you wanted to catch
directories and files.
I don’t like making files world writable - even a server does not have
people directly logging in.
