[ckan-dev] Call for testers: help us test the upcoming CKAN 2.7 and patch releases

Thanks Adrià

I thought we could perhaps help test on 16.04 but we do not have
capacity right now to do packaging. Look forward to when it comes out.

Hi Derek,
We definitely want to provide 16.04 packages, we just don't have the
capacity right now to build and test them before the 2.7 release. They
will hopefully be available at some point after the release (and 2.7 and
other versions could be packaged retroactively).

We know that CKAN runs smoothly on 16.04, it's just a matter of updating
the packaging scripts for Ubuntu 16.04 so if you or someone else has
interest on helping with this I'll be happy to provide guidance:

Cheers,

Adrià

Any possibility for a Debian package for Ubuntu 16.04? I think many of
us have migrated to that LTS by now, whereas 12.04 is no longer a

Thanks!

Hi all,
TL;DR: Help us test CKAN 2.7. Go to https://beta.ckan.org or install it
(see below for options). Thanks!

We are approaching the final stages of the next stable release for CKAN
and would like to make sure that we haven't missed any important bug or
issue. If you can spare a few moments during the next few days to help
out testing it will help us deliver a more robust release.

You can flag any issues on the main CKAN repo issue tracker, where the
tech team will triage them:

https://github.com/ckan/ckan/issues

Below is a summary of the staging site and different distributions
available, all including the same version.

Thanks for your help!

Adrià
