[ckan-dev] Unclear Solr Version Requirements / Compatibility / Suppport

Hello Bruno,

I confirm that the latest Solr version that works correctly with CKAN is
6.5.1

I sent a message last week on the list because I was having problems
with search and indexation on my installation where I was using Solr 6.6.1.

In this version (6.6.1) two lines of the schema.xml file have to be
commented because they are deprecated and unsupported. These lines, when
they are commented, break the filters in CKAN interface.

In addition to this problem, the Solr index was cleared everytime I
deleted either a package or a resource. I had to use paster to reindex
the collection.

I changed the Solr version to 6.5.1, uncommented the lines in schema.xml
and now everythings is back to normal.

Regards,

Frédérix
