[ckan-dev] Lack of an audit trail of dataset viewing & downloading in CKAN

Hi,

We have CKAN installed recently and are hoping to go live in production soon.

There is still a concern regarding the lack of an audit trail of dataset viewing/downloading in CKAN.

My understanding is that CKAN does keep track of activities such as dataset viewing, downloading, and updating,

but it does not always record the user accounts associated with these activities.

I am wondering if anyone has implemented a piece of code that handles this.  If not, does anyone know how much

work it would take to make this change?  Or, anyone knows developers who would be willing implement this piece of code at a fee?
