[ckan-dev] Disable notifications on some events

Hi list,

I'm using a CAS plugin which authetnicates user login against a CAS
Server and retrieves user informations from it. It means the CKAN user
profile is updated on every login, and other users "following" this user
receives notifications of profile update which is not really
interesting. SO they get bored...
Is there a way to trigger the API user_update action with a special
keyword meaning no notification will be sent ?
