Hi all, 

just wanted to keep you updated with regards to a meeting we had with a Google policy rep today. One of the topics of our discussion was ways in which they could support us (ODN and OKF) in a practical sense. He's agreed to get us into the Google Storage beta programme where we'll have 100G for data repo purposes. 

Also, he's offered to forward proposals to Google engineering regarding 20% projects (employees can take 20% of their time to toy with other stuff). I think this could be an interesting way to start projects on things like data versioning which are hard and should result in widely supported open source infrastructure.
