Which local chapters are you referring to / what role do you see in
them? Does CKAN also have local chapters? In OSGeo we have a pretty
loose concept of a local chapter ranging from formally incorporated
organizations to a bunch of enthusiasts meeting over a beer.

Oh, I can see that there are local ckan chapters as in http://de.ckan.net/

But interface and content seem to be different. So are these fully
associated chapters, or just other installations of the same softwar
package but with different goals?

Just trying to understand how you function.
