Couple of quick links and comments :-)

First: http://ckan.org/developers/roadmap/ is back though I note this
needs updating (we shall aim to do this asap) (problem btw was a
wordpress redirect issue that got fixed!)

Second, for a conceptual overview, this page may be useful:
