We use Disqus for the commenting so if you can integrate with that
there should be no problem.

At the same time, based on our own experience I'd query the value of
commenting on *datasets*. Comments work best on things like blog posts
which are for discussion and which have a time-bounded window of
relevance. Datasets will be there (one hopes) for some time. Comments
quickly get out of date and become irrelevant, plus spam is a real
issue. In my view "issues" would be much more useful than comments in
this situation.
