[CKAN-support] CKAN & DCAT export?

Hi Irina,

thanks for the prompt reply.

The Federal Chancellery had a first telephone conference on how the exchange of metadata can be done on an European level.
DCAT was as I was informed a suggestion for this - so I got the order to identify if this is possible with CKAN 1.7.1 or if
there have to be some adaptions/upgrades etc.

Sorry for not having more info on this here yet - can you estimate roughly the time needed for setting this up & if an upgrade
to a newer CKAN release is advised for this?

Hi Robert,

What exactly are you looking to do? Have your catalog harvested to the EU ODP one? Or to publicdata.eu<http://publicdata.eu>? This will be easy to set up since you're running CKAN.

In terms of a DCAT export, you can get each metadata record as an RDF representation and it should be possible to do this for all records in a catalog although it would need some setting up.

Hallo Robert,

wir sitzen gerade bei der ersten Telefonkonferenz einer AG zur Einigung auf ein Metadatenaustauschformat auf europäischer Ebene.

Der erste Vorschlag basiert auf dem DCAT Standard. Haben herausgelesen, dass der CKAN Export standardmäßig in DCAT funktioniert.
Stimmt das, dann hätten wir ja weniger Probleme zu erwarten oder siehst du das anders?
