[CKAN-support] FW: CKAN bug

Hi,

The below bug is documented for the CKAN 1.8 https://data.qld.gov.au/ site.

They're on a support contract so would be appreciated if we could get back
to them about this.

Hello

Some of our users are experiencing a bug. It is particular to certain
datasets, not all datasets created by that user. I have been able to
replicate this-deleting a resource actually duplicates the resource you're
trying to delete.

Hi Rebecca

I've asked Ray about this bug, and apparently it's only been experienced by
two people-you being one of them, and having experienced it twice! At the
moment there are two options:

1.       If we wait a few days, we can remove the extra resources. (This
seems to be due to a caching issue on the server)

2.       The dataset is recreated. You need to delete the dataset first,
then let us know. We will purge the server 'recycle bin', then you'll be
able to recreate the dataset with the same name.

I'm sorry for the frustration, but as we're moving to 2.0 next month, I
don't think this is worth spending our developers' time on. I am going to
report it to OKFN, though (The organisation that developed CKAN).

Hello

Apparently this has happened before.

Person from Dept of Communities trying to modify a dataset in IE8.

Tries to remove resource, but each time this creates a replicated resource
instead.

See the doubled up entries in the screenshot below. (I'm expecting more info
tomorrow.)
