Hi Irina
Thanks very much for getting back to me. We've submitted our response against the requirements and given our best guess on the assumption that it's close enough to the requirements but knowing that it's been pen tested by international govs is very good. Still if you could let me know when you get some details that would be much appreciated.

Actually I was going to get in contact with you (because looking at the okfn.org<http://okfn.org> contacts list, i thought you might be the best person to ask) about a couple of things - nothing hugely urgent...

- we're also hoping to take over hosting for the Australian Federal Government site, data.gov.au<http://data.gov.au> (think we'll find out in a week or so) and if successful we'll provide ongoing support and training. On the training, we think we'll need to put together materials for providing training sessions for beginner front-end users and also something for advanced publishers doing scripted API publishing. Do you know of any existing materials that i might use as a basis?

- i'll be attending OKFest in berlin and i'll be working from London for roughly 10 days or so before hand. I was hoping to be able to get to OKF headquarters in Cambridge for a friendly visit but I'm not sure if this is just an operations centre (like accounting, HR). I only say because XVT Solutions general manager, Lawrence Howson, visited Gavin in Oxford late last year so perhaps OKF personnel are scattered all over the place?

Thanks
George

Hi George,

Apologies for late reply. We are looking into this and will reply with more details soon. In the meantime, just on AA compliance - we did an audit of this not long ago detailing what changes would need to be made for full compliance - please find details here: https://trello.com/c/MlQ8tdBn/56-accessibility-make-ckan-wcag-2-0-aa-compliant

We probably do pass HTML and CSS validation, but need a front end dev to confirm & someone to look into the exact validation spec.

Security-wise, we have been penetration tested by several governments.

Best,
Irina

Hi CKAN Support

I’m responding to some requirements for the New South Wales government – with the intention to move their current data portal at data.vic.gov.au to a CKAN-based solution.

Would anyone know the answers to a few of these for the current stable release of CKAN…

If someone could respond in a day or less, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks

OKF Comment???

The website must be compliant with W3C validation. All pages must pass HTML and CSS validation at http://validator.w3.org/ and http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

Would you know if CKAN 2.2 passes either or both of these?

The accessibility compliance requirements for this website are W3C WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

I think that this is the case but would just like to confirm if you know if this has been targeted at any stage?

The website must use the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) development guide to identify levels of input validation, authentication, data protection, transaction, privacy and SSL. This guide is available at www.owasp.org/index.php/Category:OWASP_Guide_Project (http://www.owasp.org/index.php/Category:OWASP_Guide_Project).

Have any security tests been performed lately that could confirm that security has been taken into consideration?

Or even better, if the OWASP guide has been used in core CKAN development?

RSS feed for the entire site

As far as I have investigated, there is an ATOM feed for datasets but I couldn’t work out if there is one for the entire site.
