[datacatalogs] Financial Data Catalogs

Dear List,

We have just finished a report entitled 'Technology for Fiscal Transparency'. As part of the research for this report, we collected a large number of data catalogues which deal with specifically financial data.

It seems to make sense to keep these all in one place and make it easy to keep adding to and curating them, and was wondering about using datacatalogs.org - currently they are all in a spreadsheet.

I have created a group here: http://datacatalogs.org/group/finance, which seems like a logical place to store stuff like this - but I am wondering whether all of the sites qualify to be listed there. My question is, do all sites which contain government data count as 'catalogues', including portals which have the data online and searchable, but not obviously downloadable (e.g. http://opendoor.ky.gov/transparency/Pages/default.aspx - where the pie charts are downloadable, but not the data). What about sites which are named 'transparency portals', but have no explicit open data references?

I have included these in the group for the time being, but please advise whether anyone knows of any better place for them!
