Dear fellow data journalism enthusiasts,

Last week, we DataMarketeers launched a major upgrade to our services on DataMarket.com

I know that some of you are already aware of DataMarket, as many data journalists see the site as a valuable resource.

For the rest of you, a quick introduction might be in order: We are a startup out of Iceland. Our portal - DataMarket.com ( http://datamarket.com/ ) - provides access to thousands of data sets from public and private data providers including the United Nations, the World Bank, Eurostat and the Economist Intelligence Unit. The portal allows all this data to be searched, visualized, compared and downloaded in a single place in a standard, unified manner.

Last week, we introduced a range of new features (and subscription plans), the most important changes being:
* The ability to upload your own data
* The ability to create "topic pages" (essentially automated dashboards/reports on any topic)
* All end-user functionality is now free of charge

As journalists - and data journalists in particular - are an important user group for us, I'd love your comments on what we have been doing, and how we could improve our offering (data, features, plans) to better suit your needs.

You can read more about the background and the reasoning behind these changes here:

Looking forward to your feedback.

Best,
