This is largely of interest to those in Canada and the Northeastern U.S., though we welcome journalists from everywhere.
There are only a few spots remaining for the 2013 University of King's College Summer School in Data Journalism.
Canada's leading "boot camp" style course in data journalism teaches the fundamentals of getting data, cleaning it, crunching it and visualizing it using free online tools.
The King's Summer School began in 2008, and attracts journalists from across Canada to learn about data in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada's premiere East Coast City.
This year it runs from June 24 to 28. The training is priced to make it accessible to working journalists, and inexpensive on-campus accommodations are available.
