Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a good weekend :-) I wanted to let you all know that for
those of you who missed out on the NICAR 2013 event, journalist Chrys Wu
has compiled a helpful list of tools, slides, links, and tutorials that you
can take a look at. It covers just about everything that took place,
including software and tools that were introduced (BatchGeo and Citizen
Quotes to name a few) to various work samples from the BBC, Reuters, the
Washington Post, etc, and more. You can see the list in its entirety
here<http://www.chryswu.com/blog/2013/02/27/tools-slides-links-tutorials-nicar13/>
.
I also wanted to point out the IRE/NICAR job center
page<http://www.ire.org/jobs/>for those of you who are looking for
work in the US. It has a great list of
job vacancies for investigative reporters and editors. It is also a great
site for employers as they can post their job vacancies on the site as
well.
That's it for now. Have a nice day!
Cheers,
Hanna
