see our new Dataviz: The catholic world mapped in realistic dimensions. Where do the church-members live? http://www.zeit.de/gesellschaft/2013-03/katholiken

The layout is proudly handcraftet by Martina Schories (treemap from GoogleDocs imported into Illustrator to get a SVG) and Paul Blickle created the interactive part on the SVG. A script gets the iso3 or country name from the SVG and adds the data via jquery.
