Hello everybody,

The Centre for Investigative Journalism is looking for *interns* to help
with the completion of the Paper Trails project, a database that* aims to
feature contact details and relevant links to open documents mainly for all
the government departments, executive agencies, non-departmental public
bodies (NDPBs) and any other relevant organisation using public funds.*

The role requires a minimum of *3 months, working one or two days a week (a
minimum of 5-6 hours a week*, managed at your convenience). The job will
involve cleaning the data, liaising with government departments and
relevant organisations to obtain any missing data, verifying your results
with a lawyer, and presenting the database to the world once the project is
complete.

You will be trained step by step and will be guided to the delivery. Although
this is a *non-paid position*, those who spend at least the minimum period
will be* able to receive any of CIJ’s bespoke trainings*. We will also *refund
reasonable transportation costs*.

We are also looking for a *database programmer *to help us to publish the
project.

To get in touch, please contact Paula Freitas at paulathefreitas at gmail.com .
