This list has recently become swamped with a number of "list
confirmations" and "unsubscribe" requests. This is spamming people's
inboxes and decreasing the chance that the mailing list will be used for
productive purposes

For the avoidance of doubt:

1. YOU SHOULD NOT EMAIL THE LIST TO CONFIRM YOUR SUBSCRIPTION

2. YOU SHOULD NOT EMAIL THE LIST TO UNSUBSCRIBE

If you are receiving this email, you are already subscribed and no
further confirmation is necessary.

If you wish to unsubscribe, you should follow the instructions at the
bottom of the following page:

If anyone who recently emailed to confirm their subscription did so
