hi ricardo, hi list,
i'll reply to the list... maybe someone finds it interesting:
we have a group of about 20 young journalists (10 brasilian, 10 german) who
are working together for two weeks in rio de janeiro. the goal is to set up
and publish a website with interactive articles, each member should at
least produce one data-driven peace (analysing a data set, finding a
protagonist with the help of data-analytics, making an interactive graphic
(depending on the skill level - e. g. fusion tables, cartodb, tableau, d3
etc.), writing a story - and secondly produce a multimedia piece (movie,
audio/pic-slideshow). the group will be able to ask and demand open data in
the end of the seminar, hopefully they'll struggle with officials - all the
"usual" stuff. right now finding shape-files for rio seem to be quite
difficult...
if you guys are interested i'll post the link afterwards.
