Hi Adrián,

I was in Columbia's data journalism post-bac, called the Lede program, and
found it terrific. It focused on Python, R, C/C++, and made use of a lot of
data viz (d3.js, tabula, TileMill, etc.) + analysis tools (OpenRefine,
QGIS, SQL, MongoDB). There are some remarkably good professors, and
Jonathan Soma, the director of the program, is one of the best teachers
I've ever had — not merely because of the applicability of the content, but
because he familiarizes you with the workflow that developers use.

If you've got the time, I'd also recommend considering the 2-year comp
sci/journalism master's program at Columbia. AFAIK, it's a more thorough
and in-depth version of what I went through. Happy to chat further off-list
if you like.

Best,

-I
